Open Decks Nights

Here at Surfside we’ve had some amazing sets from all of the best local DJs, each one soundtracking a banging night in the Rum Bar. But now, we want to turn the spotlight onto our wonderful crowd with monthly open decks nights!

On the last Sunday of every month between April and September, we will be running an open decks night where you can come up and play us a few tunes. No matter your age, experience level or what genre you play, you’re invited to come and spin some tunes with us. 

You can play in any format you like, whether that be vinyl or digital, and you’re welcome to play any genre you see fit. Help us build a diverse scene where there will be something for everyone.

The events will start at 6pm. Each set will be limited to 15 minutes, so we can fit in as many people as possible, so make sure you pick your best mixture of songs! We will provide a full vinyl and digital Technic 1210s and Pioneer XDJ-XZ, so all you need to bring is your USB/vinyl and your own headphones.

Every DJ will get a free beer or cider after their set (18+ only, ID will need to be provided), so not only will you get the chance to lead the crowd but you’ll also get a free drink out of it! A win win.
